Collaborative Talk About It

Straight Scoop for Vets & Friends is focused directly on the alarming number of veterans who die from suicide and we are working to raise the awareness of this health care issue. Along with the efforts to raise awareness, prevention efforts being utilized will include providing brochures, posters, suicide awareness cards, crisis line information and free online training on suicide prevention and awareness. Our efforts are being directed at the 11 southeastern counties of New Mexico with primary focus on the smaller villages and communities. Experience shows that these are the most underserved areas. This is a veteran to veteran project; however we understand that people around them are impacted.
