Quality Service Review (QSR) Materials
Quality Service Review (QSR) is a means to assess the quality of casework practice
and evaluates the quality of supports delivered by Providers and assess the individual’s
satisfaction with services and supports. We believe that this tool is supportive
to Core Service Agencies (CSAs) & Local Collaboratives (LCs) to improve local practice.
QSR reinforces your CSA’s role and integrates the use of Comprehensive Community
Support Services (CCSS). Over the past year, we have taken this tool and modified
it to make sure it’s relevant to New Mexico; and, we have now piloted its use in
four Local Collaboratives - Local Collaborative 1 (in Santa Fe) and LC 4 (in Las
Vegas) piloted the adult QSR protocol and LC 6 (in Silver City) and LC 2 (in the
Highlands Cluster area of Albuquerque). In March 2010, we will be offering QSR training
to the 6 Children Phase One CSA’s in the use of Quality Services Review. In June
2010, we will provide training to the 5 Adult Phase One CSA’s. After each centralized
training, the QSR experts, Human Systems & Outcomes, Inc., will conduct individualized
onsite reviews and consultation in those areas. Local Collaborative volunteers have
been invited to join CSA staff as part of this QSR Reviewer training.
